The games will be played according to the rules of the FIVB (www.fivb.org) with the following exceptions:
Playing with a libero player is allowed. The libero is neither allowed to serve nor to jump to hit the ball over the net.
Before the start of each game, a drawing will be done by the referee. The winner of the drawing will choose either the team to start serving or the side of the court, but not both.

Pool Play
Each game will consist of 1 set played to 25 points or 17 minutes, whichever is earlier: once one team reaches 25 points, the game is over (no need of 2 points difference).
At the end of the 17 minutes, as indicated by the time signal, the game is over. Point currently played will be finished.
Warm ups on the court begin 3 minutes before the game start time. Games will begin punctually, as indicated by the time signal.
A maximum of 2 players may be replaced by each team per game.
No Time outs will be allowed.
A team that is not presented at the start of the game is penalized with 5 points. After 5 minutes of delay the referee will consider the missing team as looser with the score of 0-25.
Each game won will earn the team 2 points, a tie earns 1 point per team and each game lost earns the team 0 points.
The ranking of the team is determined firstly by the total points earned.
In case of a tie, the team with the higher number of games won by scoring 25 will be ranked higher.
If there is still a tie, the team with the higher number of total points won during the games will be ranked higher.
If there is still a tie, the decision will be taken with a drawing.
The four higher ranks will play crossed semi-finals (1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3)
