At Panteres Grogues, an LGBTQIA+ sports club based in Barcelona, we strongly condemn the war, the occupation, and the humanitarian catastrophe being inflicted on the Palestinian people. What is happening in Gaza and the West Bank is a slow-motion genocide, with thousands of people killed, injured, or disappeared — most of them civilians, many of them children.
We cannot remain silent. We cannot look the other way while the Palestinian population dies of hunger, under bombs, with no access to water, electricity, or medical care. No cause or state can justify this barbarity.
Panteres Grogues is, and wants to remain, a safe space for everyone, where sport and culture are practiced with respect, diversity, and a firm commitment to human rights. That’s why we make a clear and direct call: everyone participating in our activities must stand for human rights for all of them, without exception.
As an organization committed to social justice and peace, we demand:
– The immediate end to Israeli bombings and all military action in Gaza.
– The lifting of the blockade, the end of the occupation and of the apartheid imposed on the Palestinian people.
– Urgent action from the international community to protect lives and ensure a just and dignified resolution for Palestine.
Standing with Palestine is not antisemitism. It is a defense of life, of international law, and of the freedom of all people. We express our solidarity with the Palestinian people, with Jewish and Israeli voices who are also speaking out against this horror, and with all those being silenced or persecuted for demanding justice.
No pride is complete while human rights are being trampled.
Free Palestine.
Ceasefire now.
